OPTFlow needle sets combine EMED’s Soft‑Glide coating technology with a patented wing design to deliver exceptional comfort and safety during subcutaneous infusion. The multi‑bevel needle angles and optimized wall thickness reduce penetration force, helping to minimise tissue damage and discomfort while supporting smooth, consistent flow.
Each OPTFlow set features flexible wings with interlocking stabilizer lips for precise 90‑degree insertion and a recessed safety enclosure that protects the needle after use. The contoured grooves and removal grip make handling easier for both patients and clinicians, improving control and hygiene throughout the infusion process.
OPTFlow includes EMED’s Soft‑Site dressing — a hypoallergenic polyurethane dressing with a dry window for easier application and removal. This design prevents adhesion to the wings and reduces skin irritation, enhancing comfort for sensitive patients.
